‘The business of Giesen Wines’
Our guest speaker on Monday 24 July 2017 is Alex Giesen one of three brothers Theo, Alex and Marcel who have created Giesen Wines. Wine is practically running in the veins of the Giesen brothers. For centuries, their family members have been involved in the culinary and wine trades, as sommeliers, restaurateurs and other related careers. Their first land developed for wine in New Zealand was in Burnham; in recent years, the business base has become Marlborough and the Giesen brand has become successful in the export sector. The Giesen brothers have been producing wine for 30 years and their four ranges offer premier wines – various reds, white and dessert wines for all occasions.
A special menu is planned by CBC, Giesen Wines and The Canterbury Club for this event. A modestly higher charge will apply.
Fresh linguini pasta with pan fried chicken and bacon with mushrooms, tossed with free range egg, shaved parmesan cheese and Italian parsley. Served with fresh salad greens. Plus cheese plates for the table. Giesen white wine.
Time: 12:30 pm, Monday 24th July 2017.
