Chloe Tipple is a New Zealand Olympian who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympic games, placing 13th in the Women’s Skeet. 2017 was a successful year for Chloe, who won bronze in the New Delhi World Cup. It the first world cup medal won for New Zealand in Women’s Skeet.
The major goal for Tipple this year is to represent New Zealand at the Rio Olympics – she is the front runner to qualify after her victory at the Oceania championships in Australia in September – but there are a few other events to compete in before she gets to the global showcase in Brazil.
Tipple, who helps manage the family business Gun City in Christchurch, accepts that she needs to bide her time.
While it was her success at the Oceanias ensured New Zealand can send a female skeet shooter to the Olympics for the first time, the 24-year-old must wait until April to learn whether she will be guaranteed passage.
