Chloe Tipple is an Olympic Athlete who represents New Zealand in Olympic Skeet Shooting. Chloe is the first NZ female to represent New Zealand at the Olympic Games in this event. Chloe won New Zealand’s first World Cup Skeet medal, winning Bronze in India last year and is currently the 2018 New Zealand Open and Ladies Champion. Chloe is based here in Christchurch, training in Christchurch and when she’s not shooting she’s working in the family business, Gun City. Chloe has just been selected for her first Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast.
The major goal for Chloe this year is to represent New Zealand at the Rio Olympics – she is the front runner to qualify after her victory at the Oceania championships in Australia in September – but there are a few other events to compete in before she gets to the global showcase in Brazil.
While it was her success at the Oceanias ensured New Zealand can send a female skeet shooter to the Olympics for the first time, the 24-year-old must wait until April to learn whether she will be guaranteed passage.
