MELBOURNE CUP BIG DAY OUT
NOTE: This is a FREE event. No need to RSVP – just come when you are free.
Date: Tuesday 7th November 2017
· Time: 3pm to 6pm
· Venue: The Canterbury Club, Cambridge Terrace
· MC: Ric Thorpe, President
· Fashion commentator: Denyse Saunders
· Racing commentator: John Sewell – will give us tips about the races
· Ian Harrison: 5 minute talk about his time with Melbourne Cup
· Large Screen showing the races throughout the afternoon with the BIG one at about 5 pm.
· Bar open throughout for guests to purchase their own drinks and nibbles
· Fashion parade of DENYSE FASHIONS clothing
· Open to members & guests –ladies and gentlemen all welcome
· Syndicate betting – $10 per person (only for those that wish to) for the Big Race
· Three judges will judge the BEST DRESSED LADY and BEST DRESSED MAN and BEST DRESSED HAT on the day, with a prize to each.
· Dress: Ladies: Racewear and a hat. Men: Suit & Tie
· JUDGES: Denyse, Ric and Noel
· Entrance: No charge
